This year the Carlisle Army War College turns 250 years old. To go along with their birthday "The Market at Washingtonburg" was held at the US Army Heritage and Education Center September 14-16.The three day event featured an 18th century market and military fair. 18th century sutlers, demonstrators and military reenactors performed special programs, lectures and demonstrations.
My family had the opportunity to play numerous 18th century games including Cricket and to meet General Washington. Most of my postings this week will be from our experience at Washingtonburg.
