Fall In South Central Pennsylvania...

I set out the other week to photograph some fall colors, in doing so I learned one very important thing. Don't quit my day job. I live in a beautiful area and could not visualize any images, I apparently have no creative abilities. But then I already knew that. The first photo is a view of Huntsdale, Pa. from the top of Kings Gap, click the photograph for a much larger view.

On a side note today is my 600Th post, it is hard to believe I have been doing this blog that long.

When I seen that first picture. I knew it was King's Gap. The pictures of the leafs most be of the pond. Did you stop at the bottom of the mountain and get a hoagie at the general store? Keep up the great job.

Congrats on #600 Brad, I just hit #300 today. Keep up the great work and give yourself more credit. I wish I had half the talent you have with photography...

I concure with the others, Brad. Have really enjoyed the blog and the non-F.D. photography. In terms of anniversaries, 1st is paper, 25th is gold...what's 600th, Yuingling?

Thanks all, I guess I am going to have to get some more trips in to get to another 600 post.

TJ everyday and every event is a Porter event. You know what I think I will drink to that now.

Very nice fall scenes Brad and don't worry about your creativity you probably were just having a little photog block. One of these days your creative juices will overflow.

Kelby's books are definitly worth the cost in fact just the first book is worth the price of the set.

No, I didn't make it to SNP with Willard, stuck in the office but I'm planning on a few mornings starting the week of the ninth.

I really like your latest elk post and your header. Great job capturing the catch-lights in the bulls eyes.

Brad,
I have trouble getting inspired on Fulton County Scenics as I hang out in the same places and it seems I take the same photos and video year after year, but still at times one can break free and become creative. I think you did well on these two.

I always enjoy the shots of Elk (those bulls really look familiar)!
Those photos from Shenandoah were taken with the 7D. I did take some with the 40D also but they will be used in another post.

I hope to post some video from the 7D sometime this week along with some commentary on my perceptions of it. Overall I am pleased.
