It's getting colder, but I guess that is to be expected since it is November 6Th. We made it until the 1st of November before we needed heat this year. I can remember years past when I would try and hold off until October 1st. I like to look for the positives in everything, LOL, that one even made me laugh, I may only have six more winters left before retirement.This elk was along the Madison river between West Yellowstone and Madison. It was taken during the rut season and he had his harem with him. It was as cold as it looks. We were dressed for the season but after getting wet walking out to a good area to shoot and standing still for so long I was ready for some heat.
