Resting Elk...

This big six by six was taking a break until I disturbed him from his nap. I didn't pester him any more, a few quick shots and I was on my way to leave him alone. I hope you all like Yellowstone, until I get out to shoot more photos you will be seeing many more from there.

They hide so well in the trees. I noticed the same thing at Cataloochee Cove in GSMNP, which is the only place the elk are in the southeast (that I know of).

A great shot once again. I would really love to shoot these animals. With my camera of course. Well maybe with my gun as well. I guess the meat taste wonderful.
