The Fight For Food Continued...

Well you can see I did something right this time. The settings were correct and the Egret set off after the Bittern again causing it to fly. I got the Egret and swung the camera to get the Bittern as he took off. I manages five or six of the Bittern in the seven or eight feet he traveled before heading back into the tall grass. The Egret gave up and the Bittern staid hidden, rest assured I left a happy man after looking at the LCD.

Next week will be some new photos, maybe not as much wildlife but some Hershey Bears and Shane with his new toy. But then who knows maybe there will be some new big game photos to post also.

Wow, Awesome pictures. I was beginning to think that the legendary "frog" pictures didn't exist. The bitern looks bigger in these pictures than he did in yesterday's post, maybe its just that frog looks huge. Again, Great picture, I know that feeling when you realize that you just nailed the shot. You nailed this one.

Thanks guys it is always nice to get some positive feedback. Haney he really was bigger than he looked on the previous photo. Keep in mind that the camera changes perspective plus, neck and wings are not extended. He is like the Green Heron when setting and waiting.

Jeff, just got back from SNP. The deer were pretty skitish. Did run into a few bucks that will be nice this fall and a few fawns. No turkey or bobcats. I did see one bear but no photos to show for it. Post coming soon.

Impressive photos Brad, I have never been able to get a decent shot of outspread wings yet.

I took a photo of a momma raccoon investigating my bird feeders. If you have the time to stop by, my post is right here,

Hi Brad,
I lost your email address when we had our computer virus.
Just wanted to let you know that we made a few "cosmetic" changes to our SPE blog. As Willard learned more in the workshop, we will be having new posts. We would like to be in "full swing" as we head toward the next hunting season.
Please note that when I post, it's normally just photos. Don't feel like you have to write in depth info or stories. Your elk photos are beautiful and we welcome them to our team blog! I feel the more we post, the more it will keep interest up. So feel free to post at any time.
ALSO! Let me know if you work on facebook. We have a SPE page on there and I can give you admin rights to that.

Thanks and take care.
