Hello everyone, it is back to Sky Watch Friday. I took the last two weeks off because I can not do it properly when I work my daylight, I just can't commit the time. Today's edition comes from our family vacation in Alaska in 2007. This is one of the many Glaciers we seen while we were there. This one was taken from a ship in Valdez.
Don't forget to click the link and enjoy many other great Sky Watch Friday photographs from around the world. The Sky Watch team does a great job each week putting this together and at times helping to form friendships out of it.

Very Nice Brad. I need to get back in the swing of things with SWF. Just not have had the time lately...
Nice shot Brad, I like the softness of the light on the glacier and the hints of blue on it from light refracting in the ice.
Look cold.
Brian

Sitting in landlocked West Africa, I can't only say: wow, how beautiful! And thanks for sharing!
Alaska is one of those places I would love to visit one day, but it's not exactly on the route between Niger and Sweden, lol!
Greetings from the Zinder bush,

The wheels of our Homey have not yet made it to Alaska..but when they do we will be there for three wonderful months.
Wonderful view!
Nature is awesome! And so is your photo! Happy SWF!
Amazing photo!
wonderful photo,thanks for sharing!
I guess it's been a while since I was here! I see I have some catching up to do. Alaska is one of the top-3 places on my "Bucket List".
This shot is an example of why.
Cool about Aucoin, well, cool for you guys, not so much for us. In a way he reminds me of Sergei Samsonov, at least in his skating style (nobody stick handles like Sammy though!). He and Ryan Bayda were two of Albany's most productive players last year -- two of Carolina's most productive too. Not always on the scoresheet, but the Aucoin-Bayda-Walker line was a going concern for much of the season. Glad to hear he's doing well (even if it IS with the Caps organization).
What a superb picture of that glacier!
You've captured it so beautifully. I am awe-struck!
That's a graet shot as is, but when you click and enlarge it, it's got the feeling of motion everywhere, the choppy water and the rumbling glacier, and that one cloud just zings off on an angle. Really cool!
Very nice picture! Happy skywatch :)
Great glacier shot. I think when I was there I over exposed most of mine. That was before digital.
Very pretty! Postcard perfect!
Wow! Very beautiful. Do you ever wonder if that glacier is still there? I hope it is. Lovely, cloud-filled sky, too!
Perfect sky watch photo.

Brad: A wonderful shot of a really neat sky over the glacier.
Welcome back, Bradley, especially since you're out of the gate with something so special.

That must have been a fantastic vacation. This is a beautiful shot. Alaska is a place I have always wanted to visit. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I know you will enjoy Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame. We were there too and it is so worth the visit. Happy SkyWatch Friday.
