Back to the Pennsylvania birds, this male mallard was photographed on my walk at Wildwood Lake I mentioned earlier this week. You can learn more about this bird by following this link http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Mallard.html. Have a great weekend, see you next week.

Green is my favorite color! I have always loved the colors of a mallard. Great shot!
That's a stunning composition. Nice details as well
Excellent shot!
I used to visit Wildwood Lake when I once lived in Chambersburg, PA.
What a stunning shot. The green of his head really pops against the brown of the sand, and the reflection is just the icing on the cake.
Great bird pictures I've seen here. Thanks for sharing! The quality is also great.
Beautiful drake Brad good sharpness and detail along with a partial reflection. Good work!
I'm planning to go after waterfowl in the morning by boat but I doubt that I will get this close to a mallard drake.

This is an impressive photograph of this mallard. You bird photography is very nice.
All the birds I photograph have to fly into my tiny, city, backyard.
I just brought my Coopers Hawk blog back. Blogger had saved the name for me. I have hundreds of photos yet to publish. If you are interested in hawks you are welcome to have a look.

Nicely composed mallard photo Brad. You were able to catch a nice iridescence color off the head. Blue Skies.
Lovely colors on the head. A beautiful shot :-)
