Camp Charlie...

Does anyone else out their that does a daily photo blog ever get tired of doing it? Well I am, sometimes I tire of looking for a photo to work up because I have not shot anything new for awhile, I tire of working on the photo and I just become blank with what to say. Maybe it is the time of the year, maybe it is just one of the times I get down on my work, I really don't know but lately it has been getting harder and harder to do this.

I don't have a huge audience but I do have a decent following so I would really hate to take a break now and loose what I have worked the last year to get. With that said I will post a photo everyday this week but I plan on doing so without much if any text.

Camp Charlie is located on the Lower Horse Valley Road in Franklin County Pennsylvania. It was built in 1965 by my father and grandfather. After my grandfathers passing my uncle purchased his half of the cabin. This was once a thriving hunting camp, now it is more a get away and relaxation place than a hunting camp. I posted this today since we are starting the second week a deer season here in Pa. and also because it is the only thing I had ready and handy at the moment. With any luck I will get the opportunity to keep this cabin in the family for many more decades to come between my son and I. Of course it would not be for hunting, but for fishing and photography.

Nice little cabin. My brother and I were just talking about it last friday. Great to get away for a short break and a photo shot trip. Keep up the great job on the blog. It is the season when you don't really feel like doing much.

That looks like a great place for you and your family to enjoy for many more years to come. I do enjoy your blog but I understand you wanting to take a break from it and just posting your photos without the text is a good way to go. A photo can speak a thousand words so they say, and yours speak volumes, they are that enjoyable. Have a good week.

How neat is that to have a place like that! Cheers, Klaus

We hunt with a camera in hand instead of gun.

I fully understand what you are going through, it seems I am too right now. The good part about the follower thing blogger has come out with we know when to visit. For that reason I love it. And I look more at the photos, and don't always read the words. I am more visual.

Brad,
Just a stone throw away is a great little lake that do hold some good trout and bass fishing. Small john boat at the lake and ahhh! what life. Caught some nice bass there this summer and also saw some deer sneaking along the lake shore.
Enjoy it if you get the chance brother.

I understand, sometime I get both photo and writers block. Your images speak for themselves.

An excellent post, Brad. A spot like that is priceless.

I know what you mean about writer's block. I need to write more about the Elk and try to generate more interest in the DVD, but I face the same problem as you describe here.

At any rate, please keep posting as I enjoy your blog immensely.

Always wondered what the mystical "Camp Charlie" looked like after hearing all the stories from Charlie. Nice post Brad and keep up the good work!
