You Are Cleared For Landing...

Last week I posted portraits of some water fowl at a nearby pond. In that post I mentioned trying to photograph the birds in various stages of flight, I also mentioned that I didn't have much luck. This was one of my few keepers from the day. I see I need to get my shutter speed up a little more to prevent wing blurring, I always seem to be looking the wrong direction when the action occurs.

  2. Actually until you pointed out the wing blur I did not even notice it. I was looking at that head and the gorgeous wing coloring. When the rest is in focus the wings look ok with blur. It helps to not look strangely suspended in mid air. I think you got this one right.

  3. Actually Brad I like the motion blurr of the wings.

A little motion blurr adds life & action to the shot as long as the head and particularly the eye is sharp. That's my 2 cents.

I am sorry to have to add word verification to my comments, but recently my other blog was spammed on 88 post in one night. I myself do not like word verification and I apologize for using it, but it is a last resort.

Thanks for stopping by my site and commenting.
