Glossy Ibis...

This is a Glossy Ibis you can learn more about this bird by following this link http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Glossy_Ibis.html. I don't know if you have been following my links to the birds or not but if you are interested in birds it is a great site, try it. Like most of the other birds this was taken last month on Black Point Drive, Merritt Island, Florida.

  3. It looks so similiar to the Limpkin. I checked the site for both. I still think the one I photographed in Feb is a Limpkin, but you gave me another one to check before I post it.

  4. Hello Bradley!, I Confratulations for your blog, images and content are very interesting! In Spain is also a breeding bird, with significant populations in the Doñana National Park and a couple of places on the Mediterranean coast. In the sixteenth century was known as nesting, but their populations were extinct. In the last decades has been recovered and their distribution is expanding now. In my region, Extremadura (near Portugal), appears in winter, usually in the rice fields. Regards!

I am sorry to have to add word verification to my comments, but recently my other blog was spammed on 88 post in one night. I myself do not like word verification and I apologize for using it, but it is a last resort.

Thanks for stopping by my site and commenting.
