Can You Pick Out All The Different Birds?

Today's Skywatch Friday photo comes from Blackpoint Drive in Merritt Island, Florida. Can you name all the different types of birds in the photo, there is at least five different ones. Be sure and click the link to view other great Skywatch photos from all over the world.
Wow! What a catch!! I have seen them all before but can't remember their names. Beautiful photo!

ReplyDeleteNice shot showing many different species!
ReplyDeleteOh neat! What an interesting flock!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like maybe some pelicans or cranes of some kind? What are those pink birds? The only pink bird I know about is a flamingo.
Great shot; One can see the details when enlarged. Yap, what are those pink birds?
ReplyDeleteI'm not really a birder, but what a WONDERFUL shot!!! Happy SWF. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful shot. I'd be guessing if I named the birds but by any other name they are still beauties in flight.
ReplyDeleteNo, I can't name them. But I'm amazed that that many are flying together. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI have very little knowledge about birds. especially foreign ones. Only pink birds I know is Flamingoes and some looked like storks of some sort. Possibly there were geese too.
ReplyDeleteIt is an amazing action shot. How you managed this is beyond my comprehension. Absolutely marvellous.

ReplyDeleteGreat shot and great idea for SWF and no way can I name them!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot, Brad! Off the bat I see White Ibises, Snowy Egrets and Roseate Spoonbills (the pink ones). The bigger egret in the top right corner looks like it might be a Great Egret, but I'm not sure about that one. Also not sure about the four darker birds...
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
I must say, i found 3 of a kind of the birds in that photo.. lovely...
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

Hmm, let's see - egrets, spoonbills, ibis..oh and a brown whatchmacallit.
ReplyDeleteI'm not nearly fluent enough in bird to pick out the different species, but it's a fantastic photo!
ReplyDeleteIn addition to what Leedra enumerated, it looks like there might be a Great Blue Heron, and is that a Northern Harrier on the far left. Was he the culprit is getting all these birds in the air?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. Thanks for sharing.
Great photo of beautiful birds in flight!
ReplyDeleteHeck no Brad! But it's a wonderful picture and capture!
ReplyDeleteI saw some egrets ... Nice shot. Enlarge my SW and tell me what you think ...
ReplyDeleteBrad: What a wonderful capture, such neat detail. I see ibis, egrets, spoonbills, ducks and hawks/vulture all one wing. There may be more than 5 kinds.
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful selection of things on your blog Bradley.
ReplyDeleteI think I can see Wood Stork in there! Also white egret/heron, and even a spoonbill?
