Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

This is Linda and Shane on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Frontierland, Magic Kingdom last month. The ride is a relatively mild indoor/outdoor roller coaster based on the concept of a runaway train careening through an abandoned mine complex. It first opened in 1980. Speeds can reach 24-30 miles per hour so the centrifugal force as you round the turns will pull you from one side to the next.

  1. You are a braver man than me to take a camera on a roller coaster.

I have found that as I get older my tolerance for roller coasters has gone down. Translation: It would have been a white knukle ride for me.

I am sorry to have to add word verification to my comments, but recently my other blog was spammed on 88 post in one night. I myself do not like word verification and I apologize for using it, but it is a last resort.

Thanks for stopping by my site and commenting.
